Description
The gall is of a bean-like shape, 0.5-0.8 cm long, visible on both the upper and the lower side of a leaf. The surface is shiny, usually with a shade of red (sometimes also completely red). The only one green larva, which lives inside, usually forms a small opening on the lower side of the gall. It is common on most species of willows occurrence.
