Description

There are felt, gray-brown to pale ocher coatings along the veins of the leaves (erineum). They are caused by the sucking of the mite Eriophyes nervalis = Eriophyes tiliae nervalis. The mite is microscopically large and cannot be seen with the naked eye. Only the symptom is visible. Reduces the aesthetic value of trees in parks and gardens.
